We are proposing a new medical device, EstorClean Plus®, dialysis water treatment filter (Medica, Italy) for an accurate ultrafiltration of reverse osmosis (RO) water.
It is well known that bacterial DNA prolongs the survival of inflamed mononuclear cells in hemodialysis patients, causing micro- and macro-inflammation and consequent comorbidities. Nonetheless, water treatment guidelines still focus solely on the presence of microorganisms and endotoxins.
EstorClean Plus® is based on an innovative technology designed to remove bacterial DNA fragments and thus redefining the concept of ultrapure water.
